Watkinsville approves mixed-use Wire Park

In 1959, AnacondaWire & Cable Company, employing more than 100 people, put Watkinsville on the map and became the single largest economic driver of Oconee County at the time. 

Now, the defunct manufacturing plant will continue to be a part of Watkinsville’s identity through a mixed-use project called Wire Park.
